My Dad

My beautiful mother passed away on Sept. 17, 2012. It was unexpected in many ways and is still difficult to believe that she is actually gone.

Although I miss her dearly, I cannot even begin to imagine the ache in my dad's heart and the emptiness in his life with her gone. I am fortunate to live next door to my 82 year old father. He joins us for dinner almost every night. I am his barber and give him Mani/Pedi's every month. I love every second that I get to spend with him and have learned so much about him since my mother's passing. He says that he is going to stick around until he is 100 so that he can give his children grief. He is anything but a burden. He has always been smart, opinionated and wise. He says it like it is! Here is a recent picture my daughter snapped of us.

He is in his 15th year serving as the Stake Executive Secretary. He says that they will probably release him when they figure out what he does. Love this man so much!

My Children

I have three of the greatest kids on the face of the earth. They each married and added their wonderful spouses to our family. I love them all. It is difficult to picture our lives without any of them in it. We are blessed indeed.

Here is an updated photo of my three children: Grant, Devon and Amanda (Oldest - shortest to Youngest - Tallest)

While each of them gave me "hell" at some point in their teen/early adult years, they have turned out to be pretty awesome individuals. I could never have learned the things I know now had I not had the opportunity to be their mother. Would I want to do it again?  No thanks! I will now sit back and watch their kids give them grief!

Growing Grandchildren

I love to blog stalk...especially when it comes to a blog that my daughter-in-law write including many pictures of 2 of my cute grandsons. I have 7 grandchildren and am awaiting the arrival of another one in less than 2 months.

I cannot get enough of these cute kids. Love them to pieces!!!
